We were recently gifted a sprinkling of snow to remind us that Christmas is coming! As we find ourselves ensconced in winter, we are warmed by the lights of the surrounding Villages and towns are decked to the hilt in preparation for the festive season.
Harrogate always looks beautiful, the tree lined Stray ablaze with multi coloured twinkles, and Betty’s window mouthwateringly tempting! Knaresborough town hall always delivers a festive glow and the high street alike, while Ripon and Pateley Bridge encourage cheer with decorated trees and illuminations.
My favourite this year is without doubt Ripley. The road through the village is gracefully lined with Christmas trees boasting twinkling white lights that are purely magical. Stop here for a browse in the independent shops, butchers and even to stock up on local gin!
