A Wonderful Summer Social at Warren Forest
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Summer Social on Saturday.
The weather couldn’t have been more perfect, with guests relaxing beneath the shade of the trees on the Green and under colourful parasols kindly brought along by residents. Friends and neighbours, both familiar faces and those meeting for the first time, gathered around the putting green to enjoy a wonderful afternoon together.
Our delicious afternoon tea was once again beautifully prepared by local caterers, Nidd Way. Julia treated us to a wonderful selection of freshly made sandwiches, quiches and homemade traybakes, accompanied by Weatherhead’s famous sausage rolls and pork pies. It really was the perfect summer feast.
Of course, no Warren Forest gathering would be complete without Jane’s incredible cupcakes! A long-standing resident of The Oaks, Jane has created a much-loved tradition of baking the most beautiful cupcakes for our summer social. They are a true feast for the eyes and taste every bit as wonderful as they look. Unsurprisingly, there were none left by the end of the afternoon!
We hope everyone had a lovely time, made even sweeter by England’s victory later that evening.
Our next event in the Warren Forest social calendar is the August Bank Holiday Putting Competition. If you’d like to take part, please let us know and we’ll be delighted to add your name to the list.
We look forward to seeing you there!
