This weekend marked the end of the season. It is always a strange time when our holiday home owners begin to pack up and let us know that they are finishing for the year. The park becomes quieter until the point of the gas lamps being switched off, the water drained down and maintenance carried out with the intention of  keeping the caravans well winterised until the next season arrives. There is an eeriness to the grounds, particularly when those November mists descend!

When the blue skies appear, there is a sense that perhaps the season could stretch a little longer, then another storm arrives, this time Debi with high winds and driving rain. Luckily, the elevation of Warren Forest protects us greatly but flooding on the surrounding access roads was an issue. Storm damage to trees in the locality caused road blockages and extensive power cuts. Rest assured, there is no damage to the park. This is when we are reassured that the season sits just right.

I will of course keep you updated with news stories and photographs over the winter months as we continue to work hard to maintain the standards of our park! When we are closed I have more opportunity to get out and about and take pictures which I will share on social media and the website.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers for a memorable year here at Warren Forest. We look forward to welcoming you back next March. Please enjoy the autumn images captured most recently.
