We had really high hopes that for the grand return of our summer event. We imagined we would enjoy a sun drenched afternoon on the putting green. May, June & many days so far in July proved to be bright and dry. However, as we discovered, no amount of preparation and forethought can guarantee good weather.
It rained, it poured, it rained some more! We are delighted to say that it did not dampen anyone’s spirits and it seems that the day was enjoyed by all. We were grateful for the shelter of our fabulous library and for the upbeat positivity from all of our holiday home owners in attendance.
Thank you to Peter & Rachel for all their hard work to help the event go ahead and to local farmer Richard for providing and cooking such beautiful quality pork. A huge thank you to residents who prepared the new potatoes for the event too!
There is just still one mystery to solve, what happened to all of the sausages?
