What a week of contrasts it has been! Grey, dreary, misty days followed by the brightest blue skies leading us into the heaviest snowfall of the year.
Although it creates disruption to everything, I love when it snows here at Warren Forest. A blanket of white brings a stillness and silence to the park that is both eerie and beautiful. When dusk arrives and the gaslights light up, there is an absolute atmosphere of Narnia. That is why there are so many photographs. The magic is only ever temporary. The snow inevitably turns slushy and messy or worse it freezes and becomes treacherous, but that first, fresh, heavy fall is worth the aftermath.
