Last season we lost a huge amount of fish from our pond on the putting green. This inspired us to install a wildlife camera, to see if we could discover the culprit. It wasn’t long before we were introduced to a rather majestic looking, and seemingly hungry heron.
As the weeks unfolded we observed the heron (and friend!) feeding and preening at the pond. We also captured some other wildlife visitors. We decided we would see if we could observe any animals away from the pond and opted to move the camera to Jeffrey Wood. Within a few hours we caught some beautiful footage of a young male deer.
One of the many attractions of owning a holiday home here at Warren Forest, is the close proximity to an abundance of wildlife and birdlife. The peace and tranquility of having a caravan or lodge to spend time at is wholly relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable. Being located in the heart of Nidderdale, we are in a prime location to enjoy all the wonders of the Yorkshire countryside while remaining in close proximity to picturesque market towns and the beautiful spa town of Harrogate.
We have already, and will continue to share the footage over the season on our social media, Instagram & Facebook. I have captured some stills below to give a flavor of what is to come. If you have any images to share, please feel free to email them in to me or share on our Facebook or Instagram pages.
